What is Crypto Gaming?
Crypto gaming refers to the integration of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies into the gaming industry. This integration allows for the creation of decentralized and transparent gaming ecosystems where in-game assets, currencies, and transactions are recorded on a blockchain. Players can have true ownership of their in-game items, and blockchain technology ensures the security and transparency of transactions.
Cryptocurrencies and blockchain also enable the creation of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which represent unique and indivisible digital assets. These NFTs can be used to represent in-game items, characters, or other virtual assets, allowing players to buy, sell, and trade them in a secure and verifiable way.
Crypto gaming has gained popularity for its potential to revolutionize ownership and economies within virtual worlds, providing players with more control and freedom over their gaming experience.
If you look back to the previous bull run crypto gaming or referred to as gamefi was one of the hottest hype narratives with coins such as $GALA $AXIE $SAND $ILV being some of the biggest gainers of the entire run outperforming most other coins and narratives. The crazy part is that was all driven by speculative hype with the actual games being in the earliest stages of development. For Example Illuvium ($ILV) hit an all time high (ATH) market cap of around $1.2 Billion dollars in late November 2021. As I am writing this blog today 1/18/2024, if you go to their website it finally has a Play Now Button but underneath you’ll note “Early Access Available Now” early access to me would be buying the token in the past bear market anywhere under a $100 Million market cap as it went as low as about $30 Million. But either way lets look at the current market cap which sits around $325 Million at the time of writing this with a token value of about $86 U.S. Shit Fiat fake money dollars whatever. Will probably start talking in terms of $BTC soon not actually but people do. I am not telling anyone to go out and buy any of these tokens I listed above as I was just using them as examples to go back and look at because remember history rhymes it doesn’t repeat. Meaning those are older coins, boomer coins per say may not have as much hype around them anymore. With crypto gaming coming onto the market so strong the last few bull runs, it has attracted the biggest names from the traditional gaming industry into gamefi. If you look into who are developing some of the newest crypto games they are some of the biggest developers that have made games like Call of Duty Warzone to give one example that almost everyone has at least heard about. Google “Fortnite Crypto” and you’ll see the Devs are very interested in the space as well.
The narrative for crypto gaming just makes too much sense to ignore and with some of the biggest influencers and personalities in the entire crypto space always ready to add more hype you can quickly see how these markets start to function and can take advantage if you are watching closely. I have to give EllioTrades a shout out him and Alex Becker because they can really make a market move so however you feel about them put your personal pride away and at least stay up to date on what both of them are saying but more importantly on what they are doing. They are both founders of projects in crypto gaming with a skill set of understanding markets and solid marketing to go along with that, they have really made some noise. You cannot write a crypto gaming blog and leave this out because it really is a huge part of the market you need to make yourself familiar with if you are going to take this seriously and make some money! Be on the look out for a huge announcement coming from $SUPER both Ellio and Becker have been talking about this for months and its going to cause some movement, the lead up already has. Another project Neo Tokyo is run by them where its basically an investment alpha group for the biggest names and games in crypto gaming. You can get in but the price of the NFT’s are only going up because of how well the group has been performing and the partnerships they have already made. Not everyone has enough money to get into Neo Tokyo and that’s part of the point to be exclusive but they also have a token $BYTES that you can buy to get some exposure to their success if you think they will be successful that is.
Here are some newer tokens or ones I see value in that you may want to keep an eye on if the crypto gaming narrative interests you! Some of these are not even launched yet and you could still get in on early if you have questions on which ones those are feel free to reach out to me on twitter/X! In NO Specific Order these are just off the top of my head: $IMX $SHRAP $BEAM $PRIME $SIDUS $SENATE $SUPER $SFUND $INSP $PAID $CROWN $SIPHER $MYRIA $DUBBZ $NAKA $RDYX $ULTRA $AGI $WAGMI $KATA $3ULL $RAINI
I could go on and make an even longer list… the opportunities are endless at this stage but that may not mean every project will succeed, especially when the hype dies down and the data shows up. Watch $IMX go up and all of these will probably follow but which coins pump and dump before you blink vs the ones that have real support levels and hold so you have time to take profits are the coins you want to find! I could go into a deep dive on all of those tokens and write about them but hey I’m just one guy over here trying to help you understand this crazy world of crypto currency!
Gunzilla Games is a AAA gaming developer studio which has been developing one of if not the hottest talked about crypto game coming to the market very soon with high anticipation. Crypto gaming always took a lot of heat because it was so speculative because AAA games can take years to develop like 4-6 years long… and Gunzilla Games is finally bringing something real to the market to show how far the sector has come in just a few years! “OFF THE GRID” is no longer off grid as it is the hottest game to make a splash potentially turning crypto gaming mainstream. Everyone that games has a computer right? So how will this expand the market and reach new players you need a computer for crypto too is a fair question. But I’ve came prepared with and easy response and that it will be available on the new XBOX X/S and the PS5! This has never been done before so they are really making headway into an ever evolving industry! Definitely something to keep and eye on!
P.S. Coinbase and the SEC are in a huge case where the SEC is suing Coinbase for what a security is and what is not basically. The Judge seems to be in Coinbase’s favor for now stating that what the SEC is trying to sue them for would turn every investment such as a beanie baby or pokémon card into a security. Thank God for the American Judicial system. America has its flaws just as every other place in the world but there is no other place where you can start from nothing and have so much opportunity to make something of yourself! Get out there see the world its an amazing place! Thanks for reading and I hope you got some good information out of this. The best place to get my current market thoughts and what I’m doing to prepare for that is on my Twitter/X so if you want to stay up to date follow OhzoneCrypto over there! I enjoy writing these blogs but they take time it and it can be a lot of information to gather and report on so if you want the latest, X is the place to be! Thanks Again!
